For developers and AI assistants

The same lists, from wherever you already work.

Count the homes that fit your trade in any service area, see the market, and buy the list, from your own software or from an AI assistant. Counting is free and needs no key. Buying uses the same Stripe checkout as the site.

Just want a list? Use the map. This page is for connecting software or an AI assistant.

Three calls

No key needed

Count

POST /v1/count

How many households fit a trade within a radius of a point. The widest match for the trade, the same number the map shows. Comes back with a link to buy and a link to narrow it on the map.

API key

Preview

POST /v1/preview

The market picture: the count, which property signals are measured in that area, and the matching rules applied. Pass strategyIds to narrow the match the way the map does.

API key

Checkout

POST /v1/checkout

Start the purchase. You get a Stripe Checkout URL; your user pays there. The list lands in their Meadley Bros. account and they are emailed when it is ready. The API never touches a card.

Try a count right now

curl -X POST https://api.meadleybrothers.com/v1/count \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"lat": 35.824, "lng": -80.253, "radiusMiles": 15, "trade": "forestry-mulching"}'

What comes back, from a real run of that exact request:

{
  "count": 5677,
  "unit": "deduplicated households",
  "status": "ready",
  "priceFrom": "$349 for 1000 addresses",
  "buyNow": "https://meadleybrothers.com/buy?trade=forestry-mulching&lat=35.82400&lng=-80.25300&radius=15",
  "explore": "https://meadleybrothers.com/search?industry=forestry-mulching&gcs=35.82400,-80.25300"
}

The count is deduplicated households. If measurements are pending for an area, the response says so instead of inventing a count.

Buy with a key

curl -X POST https://api.meadleybrothers.com/v1/checkout \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer mb_live_..." \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"lat": 35.824, "lng": -80.253, "radiusMiles": 15, "trade": "forestry-mulching",
       "quantity": 1000}'

Answer: { "checkoutUrl": "https://checkout.stripe.com/...", "orderId": "..." }

Get a key

Members can create up to five keys under Advanced integrations in Profile and billing. A key is shown once; we keep only a fingerprint. Each key makes up to 2,000 count and preview calls a day. Revoke a key any time and it stops working immediately.

Use it from an AI assistant

Meadley Bros. is also an MCP server, the open standard Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and others use to connect to outside tools. Add this connector URL and the assistant gains three tools: count_homes,preview_market, and start_checkout.

https://api.meadleybrothers.com/mcp

Counting works with no setup. To preview or buy, give the assistant your API key as a bearer token when you add the connector. Discovery documents for machines: /v1 and /.well-known/mcp.json.

The rules

  • Prices are the site's prices: 34.9¢ per address, $349 minimum (1,000 addresses). Counting is free.
  • Lists are available in supported areas of the lower 48 states, excluding California, New Jersey, Oregon and Vermont. Records and measured signals vary by trade and area; a count alone does not guarantee purchase availability.
  • Lists are for the key holder's own marketing. No resale or redistribution. Terms.
  • Five lists and 25,000 addresses per account per day. Need more? support@meadleybrothers.com.
  • Counts without a key are limited per address. Heavy use gets slowed, then paused for the day. A key gives you a named quota instead.
